Frequently asked questions
Is the assignment front page generator accepted by study centres?
IGNOU does not mandate one design. It mandates the identifying details. The generator prints those fields on A4. If your regional centre publishes its own cover page, use that instead.
Do I need an account?
No. The tools run in your browser. Optional saved details stay on your device in local storage.
Is this the official IGNOU website?
No. Official assignment PDFs, results and hall tickets live on ignou.ac.in and the IGNOU student portals. We explain those processes and give you utilities around them.
Are assignments still 30% of the course marks?
For most theory courses, yes: the Tutor Marked Assignment is 30% and the term-end exam is 70%. A few programmes differ — check your programme guide.
